okays...Got no time to write this post. Only 5 mins left but I feel that I should voice up my opinion on today's topic:

Bus Drivers

I came back from school today after a hell lot of meetings and I seat in the 190 bus back home as usual. When the bus reaches the interchange, the driver refuses to open the back door as the bus was not aligned with the boarding/alighting platform. This resulted in a somewhat melee and the worst scenario took place.

The ppl in the bus were very inconsiderate as I observed from the backseat. Due to the lack of exits from the bus, everyone shoved their way to the front door and a St Margaret Sec School girl, if I had not mistaken her uniform, was pushed so hard that she fell down the bus steps and flat on the pavement with her hands and legs sprawled out.

Ppl gasped in shock just like average Singaporeans would and only about two people actually dared to even touch the poor girl and help her out. Its was then that an elderly man, after the rest had alighted from the bus, launched into a tirade at the already agitated bus driver which aggravated the plight. The two started shouting at each other in public controversy and it was then that the bus driver opened the back doors and threatened the elderly man who had shouted at him to go out by that way.

As the back doors when opened was quite a distance from the platform, I could see the driver's good intention in preventing ppl from going out that way. In this scene, I support the bus driver instead as he had the passengers concern in mind which unknowingly resulted in that calamity of the schoolgirl accident. The old man however, should not let himself be so overwhelmed by the situation by blaming the bus driver for the fiasco. That would be wrong as it was partially the passengers who had bustled their way through the front exit which caused this incident to take place. I think Singaporeans should show more respect to one another in the public and behave morally instead of always wanting to be the 1st in the aspect of a kiasu attitude.

This however is changing for the worse in today's teenagers who adopt the Bo Chap attitude instead.

The 2nd Scenario which I would like to discuss would be the negative side of our bus drivers. An elderly lady and a schoolgirl is running up to the bus in an attempt to catch it. As I was taking 300 home today, the girl was waving frantically at the driver who had juz slammed the front doors of the bus in front of her. Instead of sparing to few seconds to open up the doors once more for the schoolgirl to enter. He started the engine and sped off leaving the stunned girl cursing in the gloom.

By saying this, I am adopting a non-bias attitude to these drivers and I hope that instead of witnessing a situation like this again, I would be able to ameliorate the incident and to prevent him from happening again. After all, We are one big family here in Singapore ~ the way I see it.

Wow..I never wrote like this b4, maybe I'll try debating someday.
